Town of Huntsville proposing new firearms by-law

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to contact the Township of Huntsville with their concerns. We are very pleased to hear that the Township has decided to defer this issue to allow more time for feedback. As soon as we receive confirmation that the survey is active, we will send out the link. We strongly encourage everyone to complete the survey to ensure your concerns are heard.
A message from the Town of Huntsville:
We have received several inquires about the draft bylaw going to Council on July 27th, 2020. There has also been a minor change to one of the maps.
Due to the map change and inquiries received, the report and draft bylaw will be put off until the General Committee meeting scheduled for August 26, 2020.
In the very near future, there will be a survey on Huntsville.ca in regards to the draft Discharge of Firearms Bylaw and the concerns around it. Your input will provide a great overview of the concerns from the community to provide to council. The OFAH has agreed to share the link with you once the survey is ready and live.
