The second call for proposals (application window) for the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnership Program (RFCPP) will be open from November 4, 2013 to December 18, 2013. This round of funding will cover projects taking place between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015.
The RFCPP will again fund projects that restore recreational fisheries habitat, including removing barriers to fish passage (e.g., small dams, culverts) and restoring shorelines and/or streams.
While eligibility for the RFCPP is still limited to recreational fishing and angling groups as well as conservation groups; Conservation Authorities and Conservation Districts are now eligible recipients for RFCPP funding.
