O.F.A.H. Conservation Lottery prize winners

Diane Newlove of Toronto will be having fun this summer on the road and on the water after winning first prize in the Annual O.F.A.H./Conservation Lottery.

At a ceremony at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H.) Conservation Centre in Peterborough on May 30, 2000, Newlove won a 2003 Dodge Durango, a Lund 1700 Pro Sport Boat and Northtrail Trailer with a Yamaha 115 hp outboard motor valued at over $85,000. Karen Myles, of Hamilton, Ontario, won second prize: a 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4×4, valued at over $40,000.

Third prize winner, Dave Glass of Rosseau took home a 2003 Dodge Caravan Sport, valued at $34,880, Tim Boese of Waterloo won fourth prize, a 2003 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4×2 and Ron Boismier of LeSalle won fifth prize, a Lund 1650 Rebel SS fishing boat, Yamaha 40 hp outboard motor and a Northtrail Trailer.

In all, over $286,000 in prize packages were awarded to 100 lucky ticket holders across Ontario.

The O.F.A.H/Conservation Lottery is the major fundraiser for the 75-year-old Federation, the largest nonprofit, conservation group in Ontario.

Over the past 29 years lottery funds have contributed to many O.F.A.H. programs, including the battle against invasive species, working for better wildlife and forestry management, youth education, reintroduction programs and habitat enhancement.
