WHAT: From all across the province, 50 co-ed youth will come together at the OFAH Get Outdoors Youth Leadership Conference to take part in activities that encompass our outdoor heritage. Whether they come from the country or the city, each of these youth has a common passion, to “get outdoors.”
On Saturday, participants will head to the Dufferin Northern Peel Anglers & Hunters Association for an action-packed day on the ranges. With one-on-one instruction from qualified instructors, youth will have the opportunity to take part in trap shooting, rifle shooting, and archery. In addition to the safe practices learned on these ranges, youth will also gain skills in outdoor cooking to hone in their inner outdoorsman.
Media are invited to attend the day, which includes terrific video and photo opportunities of youth learning traditional outdoors activities from qualified instructors.
