O.F.A.H. awards over $275,384 in prizes

Port McNicoll resident Ross Wood will be having loads of fun both on the road and on the water this summer after winning a prize valued at over $83,000 in the 28th Annual O.F.A.H./Conservation Lottery.


1st Grand prize Winner Ross Wood accepts the keys to his brand new 2002 Dodge Durango and Lund pro sport boat from O.F.A.H. Marketing & Purchasing Representative Dave Pind.

Mr. Wood’s ticket was drawn as first prize winner, at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters’ (O.F.A.H.) Conservation Centre in Peterborough on May 31 at just after 2:00 p.m. The Port McNicoll man wins a 2002 Dodge Durango and a Lund 1675 Pro Sport boat, Northtrail trailer, and 115-horsepower Yamaha outboard motor.

Dugal Smith, of Croton, won second prize: a 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4 x 4 — a package worth $39,448.

Third prize winner Catharine Pinder, of Mount Forest, Ontario, will take home a 2002 Dodge Caravan Sport worth over $36,000, and fourth prize winner Ken Bendall, of Tillsonburg, will be driving a new 2002 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4 x 2 truck worth more than $32,000.

In total $275,384 in prize packages were awarded to 100 lucky ticket holders across Ontario. Check the attached list for the winners in your coverage area. Winners are also listed on the O.F.A.H. website at www.ofah.org

The O.F.A.H./Conservation Lottery is the major fundraising event for the 74-year-old Federation, the largest conservation group in Ontario.

Lottery funds have contributed to many O.F.A.H. programs over the past 28 years, including the battle against invading species, working for better wildlife and forestry management, educational programs, reintroducing wildlife species, and habitat enhancement projects.
