O.F.A.H. visits Quinte Mall, in Belleville

In time for holiday shopping, the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters is visiting the Quinte Mall, in Belleville, from November 25 to 28 to explain all of the rewards of membership in Ontario’s leading fishing and hunting organization.

“Fishing and hunting are very important activities, particularly for Belleville-area residents. The O.F.A.H. is proud to be supported by thousands of local members and several affiliated organizations, including the Belleville Fish and Game Club and the Central Lake Ontario Sport Anglers Association,” said O.F.A.H. Communications Coordinator, Robert Pye.

The O.F.A.H. is looking forward to speaking with Quinte Mall shoppers about an outstanding membership offer that includes a FREE subscription to Ontario Out of Doors Magazine and hundreds of dollars worth of other membership benefits.

Pye said that a strong membership base in the O.F.A.H. is what is helping the outdoors community push the government to scrap the federal gun registry, reinstate the spring bear hunt, demand cormorant control, support fish stocking and wildlife conservation programs, and reopen outdoor education facilities for our youth. “If there’s someone on your shopping list who loves the outdoors, a membership in the O.F.A.H. is the perfect gift. Membership to the O.F.A.H. means being part of the solution for years of better fishing and hunting; it is a commitment to conservation, and by far, the best way to be informed about issues important to anglers and hunters,” Pye added.

With over 81,000 members and 630 member clubs, the O.F.A.H. is Ontario’s largest, most effective fishing and hunting organization. Its conservation success stories include the reintroduction of wild turkeys and elk, habitat enhancement, and restoration of coldwater streams. For more information, visit www.ofah.org
