E-licence service is great news for Ontario’s anglers and hunters

Let the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H.) be the first to congratulate staff of the M.N.R. Outdoors Card Centre, and Natural Resources Minister David Ramsay, on the launch of the new E-licence service ( www.outdoorscard.mnr.gov.on.ca ) that now makes it easier to go fishing and hunting in Ontario.

This new Internet service of the Ministry of Natural Resources gives anglers and hunters more time on the lake or in the field thanks to the option of instantly printing a copy of an E-licence from their home computer. Renewal of the Outdoors Card, both fishing and hunting versions, can be done instantly on-line as well.

“E-licencing is a fantastic service for anglers and hunters,” said Mike Reader, Executive Director of Ontario’s leading fishing and hunting organization, the O.F.A.H. “Any way to reduce the wait for an outdoors card and licence to arrive, and to get more people out fishing and hunting, has the full endorsement of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.”

In Peterborough today, Angelo Lombardo, a member of the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission, hosted the unveiling of M.N.R.’s E-licence service. Minister David Ramsay was on hand to give the new on-line service a test drive by renewing his own Outdoors Card just in time for ice fishing on New Year’s Day.
