Shimano Fish Pond
“Let’s go fishing!” are the famous words bound to kick start a memorable family vacation or weekend adventure. However, senior citizens, people with special needs and junior anglers are often not afforded these opportunities due to physical or financial limitations.
That’s why, every year, the OFAH Shimano Fish Pond located at the OFAH head office in Peterborough is available to students, senior citizens, community groups and guests with special needs, allowing barrier-free fishing.
Fishing equipment and instruction are provided free of charge, however guests are asked to bring their own bait. For availability or to make a booking for your group, please contact the OFAH by e-mail or (705) 748-6324 ext. 100.
Funding for this project was made possible through the generous support of local sponsorships and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
