Avid angler and volunteer to work out of OFAH head office this summer
PETERBOROUGH — For many years, BrokerLink Insurance has provided valuable benefits to the OFAH and its members in a number of ways, including through their continued support and commitment to the OFAH/BrokerLink Fish and Wildlife Conservation Internship.
This four-month position provides the opportunity for a recent college or university graduate to work alongside OFAH fish and wildlife staff on many of our programs.
The winner of this year’s internship is Matthew Moote, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Trent University and a diploma in Environmental Technology from Durham College.
Professionally, he has held summer positions with the Town of Ajax’s Environmental Services and, more recently, has volunteered with the OFAH Family Fishing Weekend Events. He is also an avid angler.
“We look forward to Matthew joining the OFAH this summer where he will enjoy many great opportunities to work alongside a team of professional staff,” says Matt DeMille, manager of fish and wildlife services for the OFAH. “These unique experiences will help Matthew develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed during his career.”
The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters is Ontario’s largest, non-profit, fish and wildlife conservation-based organization, representing 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters and 725 member clubs. To learn more, visit www.ofah.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@ofah).
