OFAH Conservation Lottery awards over $322,000 in prizes
Proceeds to go to conservation programming as lucky winners drawn

Vehicles, boats and motors, trailers, ATVs, a diamond ring and more great prizes are going home to new owners thanks to their $2 investment in the 40th Annual OFAH Conservation Lottery. As grand as the prizes in the main draw are, the biggest winners are the fish and wildlife conservation programs supported by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters’ (OFAH) lottery.

The main draw took place in front of an excited crowd at the OFAH Ontario Conservation Centre in Peterborough on Friday, May 30, 2014.

The top five prizes included Dodge vehicles, a G3 and Lund boat with matching trailers and Yamaha and Mercury motors. In total, one hundred prizes worth more than $322,000 were awarded tax-free to lucky ticket holders.

Michael Rossyan of LaSalle is this year’s Grand Prize winner. Michael will take home a 2014 Ram Laramie 1500 4×4 truck, G3 Angler V172FS boat, and Yamaha 115hp outboard motor and trailer, a package worth $96,846.

David Hawn of St. Thomas had his ticket drawn for the second grand prize, a 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab 4×4 truck, valued at $46,454. Third grand prize winner is Mike Carter of Ottawa, now the proud owner of a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan valued at $40,691, and fourth prize winner, Salvatore Quartarone of Pickering held the ticket for a 2014 Dodge Journey SXT, worth $36,510. Finishing out the top five grand prize winners was Hazel Zavitz of St. Thomas who will be enjoying some great fishing this summer with her new Lund 1650 Rebel XL boat, Mercury 50hp outboard motor and trailer, a package worth $22,032. Other top prizes included a travel trailer, two ATVs, rangefinder and set of shotguns. In total, 100 prizes were awarded in the main draw.

“Congratulations to all those who held winning tickets in our 40th OFAH Annual Conservation Lottery,” said OFAH Executive Director Angelo Lombardo. “And many thanks to those clubs and individuals who sold tickets, as well as our sponsors for helping us to assemble a spectacular line of prizes.
