New season of The Angler & Hunter blasts onto national television

Hold on to your seat! The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters has put the throttle down on a brand new format of The Angler & Hunter television show. Fans are already raving about the show’s new thrill-ride intro that can be previewed at the completely revamped www.ahtv.com.

“The rebirth of The Angler & Hunter has been a work in progress for several months, and it is the direct result of O.F.A.H. member input, and support from our sponsors,” said Cam Brownson, host and producer of The Angler & Hunter.

“Although the show was stripped down and rebuilt from the ground up, we never lost sight of the show’s fundamental role as an O.F.A.H. communications vehicle. We still hold nothing back in delivering the message about O.F.A.H. members’ passion for hunting and fishing, and our dedication to issues such as cormorant and bear management, Sunday gun hunting, fish stocking and habitat protection. The Angler & Hunter still tells it like it is on issues important to the fishing and hunting community,” said Brownson.

The Angler & Hunter also serves to educate. Whether you’ve been fishing and hunting for years, or just recently decided pick up a rod and a reel, Cam and his guests, and their adventures in the great outdoors, provide a learning experience for everyone.

During this new season of The Angler & Hunter, Cam’s fishing and hunting trips span the province. On Lake Erie, O.F.A.H. members show us how to reel in rainbows, perch and walleye. In Ottawa, a 12-year-old hunter apprentice bags his first deer. Traveling north to Kirkland Lake, Cam and his father and hunting mentor, Russ, stalk the cuts and cornfields in search of black bears. Late season trophy walleye are reeled in from the Bay of Quinte, and, in the turkey woods of Simcoe County, football great Mike O’Shea helps call in some giant gobblers.
