Sarah Stephenson, a member of the Sydenham Get Outdoors Club, has earned the prestigious Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters’ Heritage Junior Conservation Award.
Sarah’s win was announced at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters’ (O.F.A.H.) 76th Annual General Meeting and Wildlife Conference at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, in Toronto.
As a member of the O.F.A.H. Sydenham Get Outdoors Club, Sarah has made a significant contribution through her participation in numerous conservation projects.
Sarah was co-chair of the Youth Activities Program and took over as chair this year. This involves setting up activities, attending general meetings and acted as the contact for anyone wanting to get more information about the youth program. She was also elected to the O.F.A.H. Get Outdoors Youth Council. In total Sarah spent a total of 334 hours working and representing the Sydenham youth program.
