M.N.R. biologist takes home Rick Morgan Conservation Award

David Flowers of West Guilford, has been awarded the 2003 Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters’ (O.F.A.H.) Rick Morgan Professional Conservation Award at the 76th O.F.A.H. Annual General Meeting and Wildlife Conference held in Toronto.

Flowers, a Ministry of Natural Resources (M.N.R.) biologist, has been the driving force behind the Haliburton Lake Trout Project (H.L.T.P.) since its inception in 1996. Each year David shows dedication and leadership in his role as the chair of the H.L.T.P. Steering Committee. The H.L.T.P. is a community-based partnership between the M.N.R.,the Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
