O.F.A.H. applauds Premier’s appointment of Fish & Wildlife Commission Executive Director

During his keynote speech at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H.) 75th Annual General Meeting and Wildlife Conference on February 22, 2003, Premier Ernie Eves announced the appointment of Mr. Pat Kennedy of Haliburton as Executive Director of the Fish & Wildlife Commission created under the Heritage Hunting and Fishing Act.

“We were delighted to have the Premier attend our conference and strongly supportive of this appointment”, said O.F.A.H. Executive Director Mike Reader. “Pat Kennedy is a lifelong conservationist, an avid angler and hunter, an active member of the Haliburton Outdoor Conservation Club, has participated in fish rehabilitation and stocking programs and possesses a wealth of knowledge about the outdoor community. The O.F.A.H. looks forward to working with Pat Kennedy as Executive Director of the Commission and assisting him whenever possible with his new responsibilities.”

The Fish & Wildlife Commission was created under the Heritage Hunting and Fishing Act to provide advice to the Minister of Natural Resources about a variety of fish and wildlife initiatives and to promote increased public involvement in recreational angling, hunting and other related fish and wildlife activities.
