Huntsville resident Norm Hibbard will be having a lot of fun both on the road and on the water this summer after winning a prize valued at over $80,000 in the 27th Annual O.F.A.H./Conservation Lottery.
At the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H.) Conservation Centre in Peterborough on May 31, Hibbard’s ticket was drawn as first prize winner. The Huntsville man wins a 2001 Dodge Durango and a Lowe FM 169 Boat, trailer and 115-horsepower Johnson outboard motor.
Chris Fitkin, of Oakville, won second prize: a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pulling a Vanguard Argo on a Northtrail trailer — a package worth over $50,000.
Third prize winner Jennifer Newhouse, of St. Catharines, Ontario, will take home a 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport worth over $34,000, and fourth prize winner Nicole McFarland, of Odessa, will be driving a new 2001 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4×2 truck worth more than $30,000.
In total $263,000 in prize packages were awarded to 100 lucky ticket holders across Ontario. Check the attached list for the winners in your coverage area.
The O.F.A.H./Conservation Lottery is the major fundraising event for the 73-year-old Federation, the largest conservation group in Ontario.
Lottery funds have contributed to many O.F.A.H. programs over the past 27 years, including the battle against invading species, working for better wildlife and forestry management, educational programs, reintroducing lost wildlife species, and habitat enhancement projects.
